Training to become a medical assistant is a dual and lasts three years. This means that you alternate between vocational school and practical training over the three years.
Vocational school lessons take place on certain days of the week or in blocks. There, the trainees are taught all the theoretical basics they need for their job as medical assistants – from hygiene standards during treatment to the correct application of first aid measures in the event of an emergency.
